n'kiyla

a lifelong oklahoman

hello, i'm

N’Kiyla "Jasmine" Thomas, a proud Chickasaw citizen, nurse, and active-duty military spouse who understands the struggles of everyday Oklahomans because I’ve lived them. Born and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma, I come from humble beginnings and have dedicated my life to serving others—through healthcare, advocacy, and community service.

For the past six years, I’ve been married to my husband, Patrick, and together we’re raising two incredible children. Our son, Treycen, was diagnosed with level 2 autism at age two, and our daughter, Adeya, is neurotypical. As a mother navigating the challenges of special education and therapy for my son while also

supporting my daughter’s growth, I know firsthand how difficult it can be for families to access quality healthcare and educational resources.

As a nurse, I’ve witnessed the failures of our healthcare system and the burnout facing nurses across the country. When I encountered unethical practices and discrimination while pursuing my nursing education, I stood up and fought back—not just for myself, but for every future nurse who deserves a fair and just path to licensure. My

battle with the Tennessee Board of Nursing exposed deep corruption within the system and ignited my passion for policy change.

I have also been a staunch advocate for LGBTQIA rights for as long as I can remember—my mother is gay, and I’ve seen firsthand the challenges that come with fighting for equality. I am equally committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence, ensuring they have access to the resources and support needed to break free from cycles of abuse and rebuild their lives.

As a Black, White, and Native American (Chickasaw) woman, I bring a unique and powerful perspective to the political stage. I am dedicated to preserving tribal sovereignty and working alongside Native leaders to protect our land, rights, and cultural heritage.

My platform is rooted in fighting for the underserved and unheard. From addressing the nursing shortage and protecting women’s healthcare rights to fixing Oklahoma’s crumbling infrastructure and supporting our farmers and ranchers, I am ready to be the bold, unapologetic voice that Oklahomans deserve in Washington.

I represent the next generation of leadership—one that puts people over profit, community over corporations, and truth over politics.
